Gold’s Big Breakout and the Macro Trends Making Waves
We’ve spoken a lot about gold around here. It sure took it’s time to break out, but now we’re trending. Gold bull markets tend to trend for many years (with some violent shake-outs along the way). So, if you read this site over the past half year, you’re probably bored out of your wits, even if you’re coining it. I know we are…
For that matter, most of our favorite Macro themes are trending here.

Kuppy’s Tweet of the Week
A single tweet after nearly 3-years of inactivity brought life to meme stonks… again.
Chart and Kliff Note of the Week
Not a CEO change, but levered stub WOOF has appointed Glenn Murphy as Exec Chair to assist in the turnaround of the Company after the departure of its former CEO in March.
Murphy has an impressive CV and he made a $2.5m purchase of the Company’s shares on top of the 1m RSUs and 3.5m of options (strikes laddered from $2.50 up to $10) he was granted. There is a stipulation in his contract which adds up to an extra 750k options (strike of $5) if the price of the shares as of the close on May 24th, 2024 (two days after Q1 earnings) exceeds $2.50. Decent incentive to beat.
